Paired with Slingshot's 23" Sentry Bar w/ 27m lines offers the best combination for light wind days and is the easiest and most intuitive bar to use, featuring self-swiveling centerlines for less to manage during your ride. With North's Prime 144/148cm and a lightweight harness, this setup is for minimal wind conditions and is best suited for those learning how to kiteboard in light wind locations who are trying to maximize their days on the water.

The Kite - The 2022 Machine LW is our all-new light-wind freeride kite. Our legendary design team built the Machine LW V1 to infuse power and efficiency into a kite that pushes the limits of light-wind power generation.
The Machine LW V1 has an all-new frame geometry that provides insane light-wind power generation. By eliminating the 4th and 5th struts, the design team could lighten the overall build while increasing the Machine LW V1's light-wind performance. Its highly efficient aspect ratio is tuned to push the limits of light-wind riding and upwind trajectory. Built with an ultra-rigid Dacron frame as well as our premium 4x4 Canopy Tech made with reinforced Teijin ripstop nylon, the Machine LW V1 delivers structure, stability and unmatched wind range. This structural stability enables better reaction speed in larger-sized kites and allows you to hold down more kite should the wind pick up. We focused on optimizing material sciences for a simplified approach when rounding out the Machine LW V1. Featuring a three-strut frame, a minimalistic and strategic paneling layout, and a premium, streamlined pulleyless bridle system, we minimized added weights for pure light-wind performance.

A shop-favorite strap set- The North Flex straps are engineered for connection, comfort and performance. The Flex Bindings give you a locked-in feel and solid support. Extremely soft KnitFlex straps are fully adjustable, conforming to your whole foot with no stitching or bunching. Triple-density rubberized EVA footbeds provide lightweight cushioning and maintain grip underfoot when wet. Super quick three-point connection setup ensures a customized fit, and split inner velcro straps ensure maximum comfort for all foot shapes, sizes and rider styles. In 2022 we’ve further refined the Flex Bindings to provide an even more secure comfort-fit with increased lateral support.
NEW Impact resistant triple-density GripFlex footbeds
Lightweight, rubberized EVA provides soft cushioning and maintains grip underfoot when wet, while the finer grip pattern helps keep your foot locked in on various angles. The steeper ramped toe bar prevents your foot from slipping out during high rotation tricks.
