Pro kiteboarder Jason Slezak and renowned shaper Jimmy Redmon have been collaborating on the Liquid Force Legacy for 12 years! The aim of the kiteboard is simple; design a twin tip that does it all and that's just what it does. Whether you are riding in waves, butter flat slicks, or choppy ocean waters, the 2017 Legacy handles it with ease, not to mention exceptional good looks.
We spoke with Jason by phone to get the lowdown from the riders perspective, and this is what he said. The design goals of the 2017 Liquid Force Legacy were to make the perfect all round board that is both easy to ride and high performance. A great deal of attention has gone into getting the weight and flex just right. Firstly, the vector net bottom and carbon reinforcement strips allow the board to be thinner and lighter with just the right amount of flex. Specifically, the bottom enhancements cause the board to snap back assisting in delivering an extraordinary pop. The use of directly printed graphics shaves, even more, weight from the board, as does its unique pickle fork shape which reduces the overall size of the board. The pickle fork shape also allows the tips to flex independently giving the board a smooth and effortless feel.
If you are looking for a board that can do it all, the 2017 Liquid Force Legacy should be on your radar or better yet under your feet. We may not all be able to ride like Jason Slezak, but we can surely capitalize on his vast experience and advance our own riding with this sick, slick ride. No matter what style of twin tip riding you do, the Legacy does it all.
