A true necessity for any progressing kitefoiler. You'll never know how much you're being held back by the shorter throw of any standard control bar. With the Joystick's ability to instantly depower the kite with its extended throw, you to make more aggressive turns with greater forgiveness and glide even further upwind through your tacks. Without having to separately adjust your depower line on a standard-throw bar, you can go into your tacks with more speed and instantly dump power from the kite by sheeting all the way out. This allows you to glide upwind further than ever, and once you're through your turn, you have that much more room to sheet in and tap into more power from the kite. When sheeted all the way out, the Joystick essentially has the same amount of depower ability as a standard-throw control bar when fully depowered and sheeted out. If you're worried about not being able to reach the end of the throw, the stopped does an excellent job of holding the bar down, until you really need it slide up. With enough power to yank you, the stopper is sure to slide up and depower the kite. This makes the Joystick even SAFER since the kite will fully depower when you need it to in those sketchier situations every kitefoil occasionally experiences.
