Skipper Meeting
MAY 8th - 6:30PM
The Skipper's meeting will take place at the James Island Yacht Club, 734 Wampler Dr. Charleston, SC, at 6:30 pm with free food & BEER sponsored by Estuary Beans and Barley. Hosted by Shea Gibson and other race committee members. We strongly encourage participation since the race course, weather, and general info will be discussed.
Race Check-In will be available
Pick up your race package at the sail shed at JIYC
Gates open
MAY 9TH - 9:00AM
JIYC gates open at 9 am for all participants and spectators. The JIYC parking lot will be available for Everyone until it is full.
Check-In / Ferry Boats
MAY 9TH - 10:00 AM
Make your way to the sail shed to pick up your racing packet. Depending on the race course, Ferry transport to Fort Sumter will be announced. Please have your gear organized for the boat trip. Booties are highly recommended. Pumps and any other remaining gear will be brought back to the club by the Ferry Boats.
DOWNWIND RACE
MAY 9TH - (TBD)
A 4 mile downwind drag race. The safety detail will be run by ten rescue boats, ensuring a safe and successful race for riders of all skill levels. A Medic will be on hand on and off the water.
AWARDS & BBQ
MAY 9TH - 6:00 PM
The award ceremony and raffle will be held at the JIYC, with BBQ and free beer for all race participants.
