DESCRIPTION FROM NORTH

The North Nova is the wing that does it all. A balanced, easy-to-use freeride/surf wing with a wide wind range and light, intuitive handling, the Nova is at home in flatwater, chop, and surf alike — with instant up-and-go and direct forward drive that gets you flying without heavy pumping.

Redesigned for 2026, the Nova is lighter in the hands and holds its shape better through gusts and pumping thanks to North's new N-RS3 triple-ripstop canopy. A Carbon UDi stringer runs from the center strut to the wingtip for added structural reinforcement, while the reduced-diameter leading edge snaps back into shape faster for a more reactive feel. The pre-installed GripLock Carbon Boom gives you freedom in hand positioning and smooth transitions between maneuvers.

Whether you're learning your first jibes or chasing downwind swell, the Nova delivers the stability, upwind drive, and all-around versatility North's freeride line is known for. Available in six sizes so there's a Nova for every wind condition.
